An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of swapping a plastic card, you scan a QR code and a travel data plan installs in minutes — your home SIM stays in place for calls and texts.

How do I buy and get my eSIM?

Pick a destination and plan, place the order, then pay securely with PayPal. Your QR code and install details arrive by email and on your order page — usually within seconds after payment.

When should I install and activate?

Install on Wi-Fi before you fly. On most plans, validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination — so you can land already set up.

How fast is delivery?

As soon as payment is confirmed, the QR appears in your account/order page and is emailed to you. Provisioning usually takes under a minute.

Is my phone compatible?

Most phones from 2019 onward support eSIM — iPhone XS or newer, Samsung S20+, Google Pixel 3+, and many more. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked.

How do I confirm eSIM support quickly?

Dial *#06# — if you see an EID number, your phone supports eSIM. That check is definitive even when model lists vary by market.

Do I need to unlock my phone?

Yes. Carrier-locked phones often refuse to add a travel eSIM. Contact your home carrier to unlock before you travel.

How do I install on iPhone or Android?

Use Settings → Cellular / Network → Add eSIM, then scan the QR (or enter SM-DP+ + activation code manually). Label it “Travel” and leave it off until you land.

What do I do when I land?

Enable the travel eSIM, set it as the line for mobile data, and turn Data Roaming ON for that eSIM only. Keep your home line for calls/SMS if you want.

Can I install the same QR twice?

No — each QR installs once. Don’t delete the eSIM from your phone mid-trip. If something goes wrong, email us with your order number before deleting anything.

Do eSIMs include a phone number?

Our travel eSIMs are data-only. WhatsApp, iMessage, and app calls keep working with your existing number.

Yes on most plans — share data to a laptop or second phone from your travel eSIM.

Can I top up if I run out of data?

Plans marked Top-up can be recharged from your account or order page without installing a new eSIM. Payment uses the same bank-transfer flow.

Will I still get roaming charges from my home carrier?

Not if you use the travel eSIM for mobile data and keep home-line data roaming off. Only your OneTapSIM plan is billed for travel data.

How does payment work?

We use bank transfer. You’ll get IBAN/account details and must include your order number (OTS-…) as the payment reference so we can match it quickly.

How long do I have to pay?

Unpaid orders expire automatically after 48 hours with no charge. You’ll get a reminder email ~24 hours before expiry.

Are eSIM plans refundable?

No — once payment is confirmed or provisioning starts, plans are non-refundable (including unused/uninstalled profiles). Verified service faults may receive a replacement eSIM.

My payment shows as verifying — what now?

After you click “I’ve paid”, we match the bank transfer. This can take a few hours depending on banking. Track status on your order page; we’ll email when confirmed.

I installed the eSIM but have no data

Confirm the travel eSIM is selected for cellular data, Data Roaming is ON for that line, and you’re in a covered country. Toggle airplane mode once. Still stuck? Email info@onetapsim.com with your order number and a screenshot of Cellular settings.

I can’t scan the QR code

Display the QR on another screen, or use manual entry: copy SM-DP+ address and activation code from your order page into Add eSIM → Enter details manually.

I never got the email

Check spam/junk. Open your order link (with the email you used at checkout). Still missing? Email us with the order number — we can resend after payment confirmation.
